ICY uses a positive youth development approach to implement education and training programs.
ICY seeks to improve the capacity of individuals and youth-led and youth-serving institutions so that they can reach their full potential and make a change in society.
Transformative and Experiential Learning
Experiential and Transformative Learning has strong potential for application in a setting encouraging youth development to create social impact.
Experiential and Transformational Learning Theories allow youth to challenge all of their assumptions of how to improve themselves while they run social or community projects. The theories also offer them an active learning environment, and hopefully, more effective ways of developing competence, which truly addresses the goals of life-long learning.

ICY promotes a shared understanding of positive youth development, whereby young people are empowered to unlock their potential.
ICY focuses on proactively building skills, cultivating healthy relationships, and making young participants the main characters of their development efforts.

ICY co-works with youth-led institutions to design, implement, and evaluate programs that improve their capacity and contribute to serve the community.
Based on our own research, and exchanging experience and knowledge with our partners, we support sustainable youth programs, within and across multiple sectors. We aim to prepare young generations to actively engage in solving global and local issues.
Creating a
Learning Network
ICY's Learning Network connects youth-led initiatives, civil society organizations, international and Vietnamese experts and scholars, and Social Enterprises in exchanging and advancing knowledge, skills and practices for the positive development of youth.
Together we co-create a network to support socially competent and responsible youth.
Providing Training,
Evaluation and
Guidance
ICY conducts training, evaluates innovative youth training programs, and disseminates information to expand the knowledge base.
By compiling and sharing resources based on training, instruction and assessment, and, we provide essential tools for our participants and partners to continuously improve the effectiveness of youth development activities.
TRAINING PROGRAM
With our training program for youth organizations, social/youth workers, youth leaders, and young people, we work at Ho Chi Minh City and around Vietnam to foster social engagement of future generations in Vietnam. In joining the training, participants would be able to gain social competence, personal development, critical thinking, working in multiple cultures environment in preparing to step to explore the world.
To reach our goals, we implement different activities like training courses, seminars, cross-border projects, local workshops and research. The topic can be very diverse environmental issues, women empowerment, social responsibilities, service learning and others
